The Safe in Sound Festival is Australia's first inclusive experimental music festival — an annual event presented in Melbourne and Sydney since 2023.
The festival creates public platforms for artists living with disability, children, families and established experimental musicians to collaborate, perform and share their creative voices. It brings together diverse artists in an inclusive and critically engaged new music environment.
Safe in Sound Festival is curated by SIS Artistic Director Robbie Avenaim, funded by Creative Australia, and presented in partnership with organisations including Liquid Architecture, Jolt Arts, Next Wave and Out Hear.
